Description

The Maul is a fairway driver made for turnover shots. It resembles our popular River, in both speed and glide but is more understable. This disc is a very good choice for beginners and amateurs, since it is easy to grip and control, and won’t fade as much as high speed drivers.

Opto-Ice Orbit
Opto-Ice is a clear translucent plastic with great durability. The stiffness falls right in between the qualities of Opto and Opto-X. The fusion of the translucency of Opto-Ice and the Orbit two-color-effect is what makes these discs stunning with an array of colors. No two discs are alike, as each one possesses distinct variations within its design.

Things you should know

Opto-Ice Orbit

Opto-Ice is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffness between Opto and Opto-X. It has great durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Opto.

Orbit is our spectacular two-color process that opens up a whole new world of color combinations. No orbits are the same and every one has different variations within the disc.

Slightly more stable than Opto Maul but still with a ton of glide

The Opto-Ice Orbit plastic provides a little more stability over an Opto Maul so you can lean into it a little more without it turning over on you, glides for days! Great fairway driver for slower arm speeds!

Feels good but tree chipped the rim in third round

Disc looks and feels great but was disappointed that, in only my third round with the disc, hitting a tree caused the rim of the disc to get dented. I thought this was the same endurance rating as my Opto Maul which I have never had a ding in.

Maul

It’s not as understable as the other run I have. However, I do appreciate the stability at the end for certain shots. Once I break this run in I will be very happy.
