The Maul is a fairway driver made for turnover shots. It resembles our popular River, in both speed and glide but is more understable. This disc is a very good choice for beginners and amateurs, since it is easy to grip and control, and won’t fade as much as high speed drivers.
Product images may differ slightly from actual product. Shade of disc color may vary (for example, blue can be baby blue or sky blue). Foil stamp color are assorted, unless otherwise stated.

My go-to fairway driver when I need to take the other turn. Maul is a really good friend of Opto River.
The speed and turn make it great for a beginner driver, I love mine. I alternate between this and a River depending on the hole.
Opto Maul
I love my mauls. I bag 3 of them. The only this that would make them better is being available in moonshine plastic.
This disc is opto-maul
As an over 50 player I don’t generate enough spin to “flip” other discs. The Maul offers turnover shot shapes otherwise unavailable to me.
Feels so good in my hand, straight with little to no effort
Beautiful disc, as always with the royal grand plastic the feel is 10/10
This is a very nice disc. To be honest it was a little to Light and Flippy for me. So my Grand Orbit Grace still handles that spot in my bag. I ordered the Orbit Saint Pro to get the light turn and gentle yet consistent finish (fade) that I was looking for at fairway speeds and distances. I gave my wife the Opto Air Saint and she immediately preferred it to her River. She said "it is like my River with less turn and more consistent.". It is her new go-to straight flier. I throw 375 at 80% and it just required to much hyzer for me to get it to fly straight. For my lower arm speed wife this disc is a dream disc!!! It flies so beautiful for her that I think I got slightly jealous.

For me this flies straight with a decent left finish on a backhand line. Also able to toss it straight with a quite powerful forhand
